Message from LGCF President
June 2008
President's Page

There is always so much I want to say to all Garden Club Members, just not enough space or time.

Change is difficult for most of us. But we all experience it at some point in our life. It could be an illness, the death of a loved one, are just life's unexpected twists.

This month we are going through a major change as our beloved SUE DeVILLE, our Newsletter editor for the past thirteen years is going through critical health issues. We must not let her down - we will work together to bring the vital Newsletter back to you. Our Web-Master, KATHY TELL, has combined her talents with PAM LANGLEY, a garden club member of Diggers & Weeders to put this book in print. I have every confidence in both of them. Please turn to your web-site to get your information for the Summer Board Meeting to be held AUGUST 11 & 12 AT THE EMBASSY SUITES IN BATON ROUGE. Your District Director has the information on hotel costs and room rates if you do not use your computer web-site.

It is important for you to get this information - our meeting in August will bring you up to date on the Awards we have won and Clean City Winners. We will have a workshop for your information also. News will be given about our National President, BARBARA MAY's visit in January at our Winter Conference. There is much to cover.

We have a lot to be proud of in Louisiana. Barbara May praised us for our progress. We will have a great year!

Sometimes change can be a good thing and with all of your help we will be better for it.

There is a lot to talk about so please be with us in August. Please send any information you want put in the Newsletter to Pam.

I hope to see all of you in August. You can't believe how I have grown to love you.
