District III

The garden clubs in The Louisiana Garden Club Federation, Inc. are divided
up into eight (8) districts.
District III encompasses the southern, mid- section of the state and includes
the parishes of Lafourche, Terrebonne, Assumption, St. Mary, St. Martin,
Lafayette, Iberia, & Vermillion. District III has 12 clubs with 410
members and 1 youth club sponsored. |
A good turnout of Lafayette Garden Club members are pictured attending
Louisiana Garden Club Federation’s District III Fall Meeting at Marielle’s
in Breaux Bridge on Thursday, Oct. 30.
The ladies enjoyed the District III meeting, lunch, welcome by Breaux Bridge
Mayor Jack Dale Delhomme, blessing by Fr. Paul LaFleur of St. Bernard’s
Church.
Dan Gill, an LSU Ag Department associate professor and author of numerous
gardening books gave a talk on Cool Season Color for landscaping.
