2011 - 2012 OFFICERS

Mt. Hermon Garden Club's June meeting was held at the Mt. Hermon Rurtian Club to install newly elected officers for 2011 through 2012. Special guest, Minnie Posey,of Franklinton installed incoming officers with an installation entitled, "For The Birds", Posey serves as President of Washington Parish Garden Club Council, 2011 Fair FlowerHouse Chairman; she is a Life Flower Show Judge, State Flower Show School/Symposium/Credentials Chairman, and Vice President of State LA Judges Council.

Posey presented each officer with a gift of a selected rose for each officer from her at the end of the installation. Susan McNeese, new President presented Minnie Posey with a lovely plant for her unique and challenging installation. After a short business meeting that closed out the year, everyone was invited to a delicious meal hosted by the club members. (Photo/article by Minnie Posey)

Each officer was given a selected bird by Posey representing their office; L-R Vice President, Joyce Proffitt; a Swan; Susan McNeese, President; was presented a Humming Bird; Installing Officer, Minnie Posey; Secretary, Rachel Lanford, received a Parrot; and Treasurer, Hilda Oalmann, a duck guarding its nest.


SUSAN MCNEESE, PRESIDENT OF MT. HERMON GARDEN CLUB PRESENTS GIFT


Newly elected President, Susan McNeese, of Mt. Hermon Garden club presented a gift on behalf of the garden club to out-going President, Joyce Proffitt for her dedication and diligent service of District VI Mt. Hermon Garden Club, stating that Joyce has been an outstanding President and they all are very appreciative of her efforts.

Mt. Hermon Garden Club's goal is to promote NGC's objectives and goals in their community through flower shows, community projects and study of Horticulture and Design and also Recycling efforts.(Photo/article by Minnie Posey)

Susan McNeese MT. HERMON GARDEN CLUB HAS SPECIAL TEA TREAT FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS

L-R Susan McNeese, incoming President, serves up special teas to Hilda Oalmann, new club Treasurer. As a special treat, everyone was served three types of tea, peppermint, decaf and regular tea in small very decorative demitasse cups and saucers from a tea cart. A beautiful assortment of small miniature cakes were also enjoyed by everyone! The cups were very extra special cups belonging to a member and of great value.
