NOTE TO DISTRICT DIRECTORS: by Margo Racca
You are to bring to Summer Board, in writing, a list of each club in your district with their members decision on redistricting. (One of the following 3 choices is to be indicated).
1) The club wants to remain in the District that they are currently in- OR
2) They want to move to another District - OR
3) It doesn’t matter what district they are in
After Summer Board the Organizational Study/ Policy Committee will meet and review each list and try to come up with a plan. After the plan has been decided, then the committee will go back to the clubs who would be affected by a change. The final decision must be approved by the Executive Council and a recommendation given to the Executive Board for a vote.

Winter Council
Sybil Colicchio, LGCF President has invited our NGC President to join us for our Winter Council meeting. She has moved it to the Baton Rouge Garden Center, January 13 and 14, 2009. The Embassy Suites has given us a rate of $89.00 for January 13th. Committees who usually meet the day before the luncheon will meet as usual at the Embassy Suites. January 14 will be when all club members can attend the business meeting and meet the NGC President, at the BR Garden Center. There will be a catered lunch after the meeting. Reservations will be necessary and of course there is a charge for the luncheon. You will receive more information at the Fall District Meeting.

Diamond Jubilee
Plans are progressing well with the LGCF 75th Diamond Jubilee Celebration. The committee asked if anyone is proficient in power point presentations and would like to compile one for us, please contact committee member LINDA FINLEY. The committee also asked that each club submit 3-4 pages of history from your club in the form of newspaper clippings, photos, awards that were won, special recognition or anything that they would like to have on exhibit for our 2010 Convention. Please make copies- no originals! The committee is still accepting sponsors.
