Make plans now to attend the 2010 Louisiana Garden Club Federation Convention, "75 YEARS OF BRILLIANCE" which will be held at the Doubletree Hotel, 300 Canal Street, New Orleans, April 13 - 15, 2010.

ALERT **** ALERT ****ALERT
This is to inform you that everyone who was on the waiting list for the Pre-convention Tour is on the Tour. On Monday, April 12, the tour starts at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters, Botanical Garden, City Park. Registration and coffee begins at 8:30 a.m. Buses leave promptly at 9:00 a.m. Only those registered at DoubleTree Hotel as of Sunday night will be picked up, but they must call Jo Ann at 504-737-2320 by March 15.

The Pre-Convention Tour on Monday, April 12, 2010, has been a complete success! WE REGRET THAT RESERVATIONS FOR THE TOUR ARE NOW CLOSED. We invite you to attend the dedication of the Native Plant Garden in City Park, which is the closing event of the tour. The Native Plant Garden was partly funded with a "Green the Gulf Coast" grant from National Garden Clubs, Inc.

HIGH TEA AT WINDSOR COURT
A highlight of the Convention is "High Tea" at Windsor Court on Wednesday honoring National President, Renee Blaschke and ends with a spectacular Diamond Jubilee Gala on Thursday night. The Doubletree is conveniently located to many New Orleans attractions and restaurants and Harrah's Casino is right next door.

WORLD WAR II MUSEUM TOUR
If you or a guest would be interested in viewing the World War II Museum as a group on Tuesday, April 13, please register your names with Dolores Masson by March 13.

Diamond Jubilee Pin Sale
The Diamond Jubilee Committee is offering all members a piece of fine, individually crafted, silver pendants depicting the Louisiana iris and the diamond shape representing our Diamond Jubilee. These pendants are made only for the LGCF, and it is an original design by Gerald Haessig of New Orleans.
