Lafayette Garden Club Spring Luncheon was held at the Points of View
home of Henrietta Boriskie, which was adorned with many beautiful flower
arrangements by Club members Gloria Guilbeaux and Loraine Newberry. At
the meeting, the Woman of the Year Award was presented to Inez Barras,
with Honorary Member of the Year Award going to Grace Eyster. Aline
Arceneaux and Grace Eyster were welcomed into the Circle of Roses.
Claire Moody installed the following officers for 2009-2011:
Margaret Hargroder,
president; Marilyn Duhe, first vice-president; Jo Ann Pugh,
treasurer;
Diana Nolan, recording secretary; and Linda Bourg, corresponding
secretary.
The new second vice-president, Roxanna Champagne, will be
installed upon
her return to Lafayette.
